I'm originally from Kentucky, and I learned at an early age about tradition, antiques, and burgundy dining rooms! It seemed that everyone in Kentucky had a burgundy dining room, and I always felt that there was more to interiors and design. I always noticed interiors and details, whether it was at a restored Antebellum mansion or in the classical auditorium at the local university. I'll always be a Kentucky girl at heart in spite of marrying an Australian and living in the mountains!
I went to college at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and at Parsons School of Design in New York City, which allowed me to broaden my horizons, and appreciate modern design, as well as people and styles from all over the world. I spent summers working at a dude ranch in Colorado while in college, and then decided I wanted to blend my passion for interior design with my love of the Rocky Mountains.
I'm inspired by the daily amazement in my son’s and daughter’s eyes, by traveling to new places whether it is a new hiking trail or a trip to France, The Tate Modern, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the classic architecture of Robert Stern and Modernist Frank Gehry. I've been working in the interior design industry for almost 15 years, and love to blend some of the tradition of the interiors I grew up with, with a fresh color palette, inspiration from nature, and modern and textural elements. My portolfio includes completed residences all over Colorado as well as in New York City, Atlanta, Seattle, Santa Fe, Cabo San Lucas, Boston, and in Naples and Boca Raton, Florida.
