HAPPY NEW YEAR

What usually comes to mind at the start of a new year are resolutions, getting back to work and hunkering down for a long winter ahead. Instead, I am focusing on all that sparkles and pops in the cold of winter. 

New Year’s, to me, brings to mind gold streamers and confetti raining down to celebrate the beginning of a fresh new year.

The combination of gold and winter white creates a palette that ushers in a clean, bright start to the new year, made warm and sparkling with possibilities with the addition of gold. 

Gold is a beautiful warm metallic that can add sophistication and a unique touch to any room. Complementing it with white keeps the design fresh and from feeling too heavy or overdone. Consider accents of gold in the form of a lamp or accessories or even by wallpapering one wall and keeping other accessories neutral. Gold will warm up a cold winter day and warm your spirit all year long.
