Slifer Designs Project Manager,
Amy Casey, designed this ski-in, ski-out vacation residence, located in the new Vail Chalets at the base of Vail Mountain. The goal was to create a dream vacation home in the mountains for this client, who loves the resort lifestyle that Vail offers. Amy added elegance to all the selections and an overall feel of timelessness to make this vacation home feel as though it is lived in year-round. The dining room and living room both enjoy spectacular views of the gorgeous peaks of the Gore Range.
Soft touches throughout add a romantic Old World charm, such as the graceful sheers in the dining room, elegant silk shades in the master bath and the traditionally styled ceramic farmhouse sink in the kitchen.

Amy suggested to add a library in a small space adjacent to the second floor’s elevator landing. This was a nice bonus, as there was nothing previously planned for this space per the builder's floor plan. This is one of the advantages of working with a designer, who can look at the space a little differently and create something out of nothing!
Amy also selected the elegant fixed finishes for all the bathrooms and the kitchen. A stainless island adds function to the kitchen working space, while the warm creamy yellow marble in the master bath adds opulence to evoke a spa environment.

The bedrooms are equally as luxurious. A spindle four poster bed, mirrored bedside table, and shimmery powder blue silk drapery create a romatic retreat in the master suite.

The guest bedroom, below, is fit for royalty. The movement of pattern in the bed is echoed in the bedside table.
