Thank the Hostess

the perfect way to say 'thank you'

Summer is barbeque and outdoor-party season– whether a backyard baby shower, early evening soiree or laughter-filled brunch with friends. A handwritten thank you is always welcome after a fun fete, and no one ever turns down a bottle of wine upon arrival. But if you want to genuinely thank your hostess and make a great impression, read on for some of our Slifer Showroom favorites. Many of our items fly off the shelves – we hear they are for hostesses but we secretly wonder if the shopper is keeping them for herself.

We love Beatriz Ball. She uses sand casting, which involves pouring molten aluminum alloy into sand molds, and then going through four levels of polishing. The resulting sheen speaks for itself, whether on platters, trays, candle sticks, ice buckets, picture frames or napkin holders. Pictured here are items from her croc-inspired line. Fun!

Warm white wine can be a real problem… hence the popular Corkcicle. Pop it in the freezer, then pop it in your wine bottle for a chilly, refreshing bottle of wine. Perfect for hot summer night concerts, the ballet or backyard gathering.

Coasters are a must-have – so why not make them eye-catching and colorful? We have a great variety of stone coasters to keep the rings away.

We love fresh flowers but they don't last forever. Brighten your host's day with cheerful colorful poppies, mini orchids or succulents.  Best of all, they last longer than the dinner party. Shown here with John Derian Trays and Coasters that are perfect catchalls (help your hostess never lose her keys again).

Michael Aram not only creates a candle with an exquisite scent, the container is a gift unto itself.

Another favorite – the Michael Aram Black Feather tray. Shine, whimsy and the perfect serving piece.

Of course we have oodles of other ideas too. Stop by and visit, we'll help you find just the right gift.
