Growing up surrounded by her mother’s interior design and antiques businesses, Beth Slifer knew that if she got into interior design, a retail store would be a requirements. So, she opened the first store front for Slifer Designs shortly after she launched in 1983 on Bridge Street in Vail. By 1993 after outgrowing the space and in conjunction with the development of Beaver Creek, the store moved to Avon, where it stood successfully until 2000 when it again moved to Edwards, CO. It has remained there ever since, and is one of Riverwalk at Edwards’ cornerstone stores.
